Indiana Community Foundation Committee (CFC)

The Community Foundation Committee offers guidance and recommendations for the Ethical and Operational Standards compliance process.  They also make several resources available to the compliant community foundations.  The committee facilitates statewide and regional conversations about issues relevant to community foundations and their many roles in the community.

The committee, which meets quarterly, is comprised of 14 regionally elected representatives and 3 officers who serve at-large. The 2012 CFC Chair is Doug Inman, Executive Director of the Portland Community Foundation (Jay County). A portion of the annual GIFT budget is allocated to the CFC, which then secures resources to provide to the Indiana field.

  • Marketing E-Booklets
    Planned giving marketing brochures on 32 different topics. This resource is available only to community foundations which are compliant with standards.
  • Ethical and Operational Standards for Indiana Community Foundations
    In 2000, the Community Foundation Committee adopted standards for Indiana's community foundations, as public trust is the key to a community foundation's success. The standards encompass the five major areas of community foundation activity.
