More than $624 million in federal work supports dollars (Pell grants, health insurance, etc.) are unclaimed every year in Indiana by eligible residents who do not apply. The Benefit Bank of Indiana is an outreach effort meant to remedy this situation, which is sponsored by Purdue University Cooperative Extension in partnership with community and faith-based organizations across the state. The Benefit Bank will utilize a state-of-the-art, web-based tool to move more Indiana residents out of unemployment, poverty or welfare and into self-sufficiency, all while boosting the economic prosperity of local communities.

Several County Extension Offices around the state will host Indiana grantmakers on February 23 and 24 to discuss how we can participate in this nationally-proven program.  This is not a two-part program; identical information will be presented on each day
