Some 25,000 readers per month visit the blog, which features a daily news digest and coverage of the latest trends in philanthropy, alongside thought-provoking musings and constructive debate among some well-known voices in the field.
Sean coined the phrase "tactical philanthropy" to describe an approach to giving that positions donors as social investors. His California-based advisory firm helps individuals and family philanthropists build portfolios of outstanding nonprofits that are effectively producing social impact.
Sean is also a columnist for the Chronicle of Philanthropy and a member of the World Economic Forum’s Council on Philanthropy & Social Investing. In addition to his keynote presentation on November 4, he will lead a breakout session focusing on social media.
