Tactical Philanthropist to Give Conference Keynote

Sean Stannard-Stockton, thought leader and CEO of Tactical Philanthropy Advisors, will deliver the keynote address at the IGA Fall Conference on November 4 (registration coming soon).

Sean's expertise and passion for "innovative, effective and joyful philanthropy" are widely recognized in the social sector, where many know him as the author of the popular Tactical Philanthropy blog. Some 25,000 readers per month visit the blog, which features a daily news digest and coverage of the latest trends in philanthropy, alongside thought-provoking musings and constructive debate among some well-known voices in the field.

Sean coined the phrase "tactical philanthropy" to describe an approach to giving that positions donors as social investors. His California-based advisory firm helps individuals and family philanthropists build portfolios of outstanding nonprofits that are effectively producing social impact.

Sean is also a columnist for the Chronicle of Philanthropy and a member of the World Economic Forum’s Council on Philanthropy & Social Investing. In addition to his keynote presentation on November 4, he will lead a breakout session focusing on social media.
